Painting In The Woods
Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th October 2024
Grist woods near the Blackwall Farmhouse studio
In celebration of the arrival of the spring bluebells we will host this popular Woodland Painting course twice: once in April and once in May. Please tell us the date of your choice when you book this course.
Together with tutor Nick Archer participants will be painting and drawing directly from observation in the woods near the studio. Explore ways to observe the landscape directly and learn how to collect reference material through drawing to create art works in the nearby studio. The amount of time spent in the woods will be dependent on weather, but a camp area with cover and a compost toilet are available in the woodland area which is less than a mile from the studio.
The groups are small and are tailored to all abilities from complete beginners to those with more experience.
Location and accommodation
The courses will be based just outside of Rye in the beautiful Wealden countryside, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
